Individuals in the Assistant to the Vice President of Sales & Strategy role may have up to a year of relevant experience. He/she will assist and report directly to the Vice President of Sales & Strategy. Educational background in business, marketing or public relations is preferred but not required. While individuals in this role may have previous work experience, they will be trained in company values, communication styles (client and internal) and internal processes and systems that are critical to this role. He/she will also be trained for the role and responsibilities required of all assigned client work.
On a day-to-day basis, the Assistant to the Vice President of Sales & Strategy focuses on supporting the Vice President of Sales & Strategy. Plus, the individual plays a key role in the Sales Department’s efforts to support franchise sales efforts for clients. Primary responsibilities include making initial contact with sales leads via phone, email and text to determine their ability to move ahead in sales process. He/she must be able to accurately and enthusiastically represent client brands. Additionally, the Assistant to the Vice President of Sales & Strategy will schedule meetings for the Vice President of Sales & Strategy with sales leads, and keep the database of information on all sales leads up to date. There are weekly and monthly reports that he/she will assist with assembling.
This position’s responsibilities include:
· Assisting the Vice President of Sales & Strategy
· Initial contact with sales prospects (inbound and outbound calls, email & text)
· Follow up communication with leads to move them to the next stage in the sales process
· Utilizing database software to properly track progress/results
· Creating weekly and monthly reports
